Working Together - The Tea Tree
The Tea Tree Every year, South East Region set a competition for the best display by a branch at the Regional Day in July. In 2008, the theme was ‘A free-standing tree’ to be displayed in the foyer of one of the university buildings at Canterbury. We took the theme of a ‘tea tree’, not the medicinal Melaleuca Leptospermum, but a topiary tree-cum cake stand with lots of lovely things to enjoy; a good old fashioned afternoon tea all overseen by Earl Grey. We spent an afternoon making cupcakes, gingerbread men and other goodies whilst enjoying every kind of tea and most kinds of cake we could think of!
