About Us Bromley Branch of the Embroiderers’ Guild was founded in 1980. We are part of the Embroiderers' Guild, a national charity, with headquarters at Walton on Thames and of its South East Region, which hosts an annual regional day with displays, workshops and traders. In 2005 we celebrated our Silver Jubilee with a special day including a splendid lunch and the unfurling of our branch banner. A number of founder members were presented with commemorative brooches by the regional chairman. For our Pearl Anniversary in 2010 we wore our pearls and cut a beautifully decorated cake. The branch is run by a committee with help from the membership and holds an AGM in September each year. To contact the committee, speak to us at a meeting or use the links on the ‘contact us’ tab. We are always pleased to receive good ideas and offers of help, great or small.
Join Us To join the branch, come to a meeting and ask at the ‘signing in’ table, or download and complete the Membership Form and return it to the Membership Secretary. Current costs are shown on the application form. Membership Our annual membership subscription is made up of two parts: - the branch membership subscription which we use, for example, to hire the hall, pay for speakers, serve refreshments and circulate our branch newsletter. - the affiliation subscription to the Embroiderers’ Guild which is used, for example, to maintain the museum collection, circulate ‘Contact’ magazine and entitles members to use of the facilities at Walton on Thames. If you are already a member of another branch, or an individual member of the Guild paying a subscription to Walton on Thames (formerly Hampton Court) only the branch subscription is due. Subscriptions are payable in September, with a half rate from 1st March.
